Hi! I’m Jake, and I’ve been in Jersey City with my wife Emily and our beagle Theo since 2021, and a part of NRS since 2024. I’ve been singing from a pretty young age, where I participated in middle school talent shows, my high school’s choir and men’s ensemble, the New Jersey All-State Chorus, Rutgers University’s all-male a’cappella group Casual Harmony, and the ill-fated indie rock band Hartwell that played in Rutgers basements from 2017 to 2018.

 

I also sing (and sometimes play guitar) most months in the Jersey City Cabaret, and I work in the city (and sometimes in odd places around the world) as a journalist/the guy who sends breaking news updates to your phone (sorry!).
