Chuck Rozakis

Tenor II

Hi, I’m Chuck!

This is my first season with North River Sing and my first time singing with an ensemble in over a decade. I grew up with a passion for singing and theater: I sang in a barbershop quartet in high school on Long Island; then two acappella groups in college; then another acapella group in business school. (I can’t say the latter was particularly good, but we had a lot more personality than the law school’s acappella group, who sang like a bunch of corporate lawyers.) Over that time I performed in something like three dozen shows with school and community troupes, including several with the Attic Ensemble, previous residents of the Barrow Mansion. I’m still an avid fan of college acappella music (but you should probably only ask about it if you have some time to spare).

I’ve been living and working in Jersey City since 2004; by day I’m a quantitative financial analyst. I’m a well-rounded geek with affection for video games, table-top rpgs, science fiction, fantasy, collectible card games, and comic books. (And the father of a middle-schooler who I’ve successfully introduced to all of those things.) I’ve been doing standup comedy since 2024 and have been lucky enough to share a stage with Jim Gaffigan and Jerry Seinfeld.

And in case you were wondering from my uncommon last name: Yes, my wife is fantasy author Caitlin Rozakis, and my father is comic book writer Bob Rozakis. If you know any other Rozakises, yes, we’re probably related.
