I was born and raised in the Bronx, and lived most of my life in New York City. In 2010, I made the big move West, to downtown Jersey City. Think I’ll stay a while. Long, long ago, I graduated from Fordham University, and have since accumulated a bunch of other degrees in English Literature, Library Science, Theology, and Education. I have had the good fortune to work for the last 17 years with children Pre-K through Grade 8 at a small elementary school in Manhattan. There I wear several hats — I am the school librarian and teach reading/writing, and early childhood religion. In my spare time, I sing with you, volunteer in the JC Public Library’s Literacy Program, and square dance (and no, I do not wear crinolines).
