Carolyn Hoberman

I “found my voice” in the United Nations International School, “Mother’s Chorus” founded by Joan Litman of Jersey City in 2003. I then studied solfege, sight singing and vocal technique with various teachers including John Kolody, my main instructor since 2007.

I have performed with the Art Song Preservation Society, NYC, Cantigas Womans’ Choir of Hoboken and in Amahl and the Night Visitors.

I currently also sing with The Glass Menagerie Chorus directed by Susan Glass in Greenwich Village NYC.

Professionally, I have worked as a Graphic Designer & Toy Manufacturer. I co-own and manage the Hoberman toy brand and own Roflcopter Toys & Gifts retail shop in Jersey City. My daughter, Dorothy attends university in the UK, working at Roflcopter during school breaks. Dorothy and I live in Bayonne with a furry family, which includes a pair of Croatian cat sisters.

I am happy to be learning this wonderful American repertoire with Conrad Chu and the talented members of North River Sing.
