Hi all! My name is Ayla, and I have been a North River Sing alto since 2015. In the winter, you can also catch me singing around Jersey City with The HoliDates. I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA and have lived in the NY/NJ area since 2007.

By day, I’m a Community Planner at the Federal Transit Administration where I help to improve public transportation for communities across New York and New Jersey. By night, I’m a full-time bike advocate, fighting for safer streets in Jersey City and beyond as the president of Bike JC and as a board member of Hudson County Complete Streets. I’m very involved in Jersey City locally, so you can often catch me at a neighborhood association meeting or a city council meeting. I’m also an avid Broadway theatergoer, a sports fanatic, and a travel lover.
