My name is Lauren Kwei (she/her), I’m 26 years old and I am so excited to be having my first season with NRS. I live in the Bergen-Lafayette area with my sister and 3 cats. I was born and raised in Winfield, West Virginia and was in show choir for 4 years in high school. I moved to NYC, where I attended American Musical and Dramatic Academy to pursue musical theater when I was 18 years old. After completing the program, I explored other careers and have been a host, reservationist, EMT, paramedic, budtender, and a pet sitter. Recently I accepted a job as a voice teacher at Nutley School of Music and I hope to inspire kids the way my teachers inspired me. I have always felt most at home in a choir and I’m so happy to share this experience with all of you.
