First time ever in a choir – never realized I’m a bass (much less a “bass two”) – and new to the bass clef (played the french horn many moons ago – before my son William, a new North River Sing tenor with real choir experience, was born). Long time downtown Jersey City resident – wife Julie landed a legal job in Newark while I landed one in lower Manhattan, after law school in Buffalo – the mortgage is paid (if not the property taxes!) – also a lovely daughter Eleanor in her last year at Oberlin (a fine singer, but not a music major!).
